Tea Trunk's organic green tea is milder than most other tea brands. By itself, the taste of the tea is somewhat grassy, but it tastes great with peppermint or jasmine.
Quality of matcha is decent.
2nd time buying matcha from tea trunk. Not disappointed. Though, mint matcha is way better than strawberry matcha.
I have been drinking rolled tea for a few years now and jasmine infused oolong tea is one of my favorites. I decided to try Tea Trunk's offering of jasmine tea to see how it compares. My first impression was that the fragrance was a bit overwhelming, almost like jasmine oil was added to the tea leaves after drying. The tea was more bitter than I'm used to and the flavor of jasmine wasn't noticable. Jasmine tea is supposed to have subtle notes of jasmine when you drink it. The second brew after the tea had bloomed was closer to the taste of green tea, but I didn't get any jasmine flavor or fragrance from it. I might use these tea leaves to cold brew instead of making it my morning breakfast tea.
Hibiscus petal tea is upto the expectation and now looking forward to try other flavours
I like the tea sample but the packaging is not up to the mark and the quality of matcha is not the finest, I have seen but the price was the highest I have yet paid for it. Hopefully you can introduce the botanical tea sampler in larger quantity than this, maybe like packaging of 50 gm each of the tea's.
The blend is amazing, refreshing with gentle aroma . The tea bags are reusable which makes the money worth , my only concern is the material used in tea bags and the adhesive used to stick it with string . Overall nice taste , good experience
