Dandelion Root

Dandelion root tea has a slightly bitter, earthy taste, often likened to roasted coffee. Its rich flavor is balanced with mild herbal undertones, making it a soothing and invigorating brew for any time of day.

Store in the pouch or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place. If not consumed immediately it should be stored in the refrigerator.

If storing in the refrigerator/ freezer, pack in small completely airtight packets or jars. Before use, wait for it to reach room temperature to prevent any condensation. Each packet should be used within a week after opening.

To brew Dandelion root, add 1-2 pieces of dried whole root per cup (150ml) of water. For a smoother, gentler flavor, pour boiling water over the root. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can brew it over the flame.

Always pour boiling water (100°C) over the root, not the other way around. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes for a stronger flavor, or adjust the steeping time based on your preference. For a milder taste, you can rebrew the root by adding more hot water and steeping it longer.

For convenience, if you prefer a powdered form, you can grind the roots and store them in powder form. Use 1 tsp per cup when brewing.

How To Brew ?

Step 1

Boil the water: Heat water to 80°C (not boiling).

Step 2

Add tea: Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea or 1 tea bag per cup (150ml) of water.

Step 3

Pour hot water: Always pour hot water at 80°C onto the tea leaves, not the other way around.

Step 4

Steep the tea: Let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Rebrew (optional): All our teas (in tea bags or loose leaf) can be rebrewed. Just add hot water and steep for longer than the first steep.

Storage Instructions

Store in the foil pouch in the tea tin or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place. If not consumed immediately teas should be stored in the refrigerator.
