Pure Blue Pea Flowers

The blue butterfly pea flower tea has a woody and earthy flavor, and it has a similar taste to that of fine green teas and a lightly sweet aroma. You can blend the blue tea with lemon, chamomile, honey, and lemongrass.

Store in the pouch or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place. If not consumed immediately it should be stored in the refrigerator.

If storing in the freezer, pack in small completely airtight packets or jars. Before use, wait for it to reach room temperature to prevent any condensation. Each packet should be used within a week after opening.

For a hot brew, add 1 teaspoon per cup (150ml). Always pour hot water (80°C) on the flowers and not the other way around. Steep for 2-3 minutes.

Brew these delicate Blue Pea Flowers in warm water and watch the magic unfold as they release a vibrant blue color that transforms into purple with a splash of lemon juice. Rich in active compounds, these flowers are known in Ayurveda for their brain-boosting benefits. Pure 4 Sure

After using the Hibiscus Tea and Hibiscus flowers from Tea Trunk I was tempted to try the Blue Pea Flowers too. The first pour after 5min of steeping, the blue colour in my glass cup was majestic. The flower does not have any flavour of its own, so a dash of lemon juice is one way to try. I tried steeping with green tea leaves and fennel, but not so satisfying; combination of Lipton Yellow Label and Blue Pea Flower was fine, asubtel flavour of Lipton Tea leaves gelled well with it. My experiments are ON….

Hello Mr Mohit,
Thank you for your lovely review of our Blue Pea Flowers! We're so glad you enjoyed the vibrant blue color it added to your tea. Adding a dash of lemon juice is a great idea to enhance the flavor. We love hearing about your experiments and can't wait to see what other combinations you come up with! Happy brewing!
