Matcha is so versatile you can use it in baking, smoothies, desserts or savoury dishes. We have experimented with many of the recipes using our ceremonial grade Matcha, which is sourced from the Nishio region, Aichi prefecture in Japan. We recently made a healthy super green smoothie which is packed with natural goodness is 100% vegan. Here it goes:
½ cup coconut milk
½ medium avocado
½ cup fresh spinach
1 teaspoon of Tea Trunk Matcha
½ cup of water
Ice cubes (optional)
Natural sweetener (use according to taste)
1. Cut open the avocado and scoop out the avocado
2. In the blender add spinach, avocado, Matcha, milk, coconut oil, water and natural sweetener.
3. Blend until all the ingredients turn into a smooth liquid
4. Add ice before serving
Avocados contain all 18 essential amino acids making it a super-rich protein. Spinach is high in vitamins and minerals, which includes Potassium and Vitamin C. Matcha is a green tea like no other.
