Why Make Bubble Tea at Home?

With these two recipes, you'll experience a refreshing departure from the usual milk-based bubble teas.

Recipe 1: Mango Mint Bubble Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed mango mint green tea

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Optional: fresh mango slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Green Tea: Start by brewing a cup of mango mint green tea. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, then cool to room temperature.

  2. Prepare the Mango Mint Syrup: In a blender, combine the diced mango, fresh mint leaves, honey or agave syrup, and water. Blend until smooth.

  3. Mix the Tea: In a large shaker or pitcher, combine the brewed green tea and mango mint syrup. Stir or shake well to combine.

  4. Serve: Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour the mango mint green tea mixture over the ice. Garnish with fresh mango slices and mint sprigs if desired. Enjoy your refreshing mango mint green tea bubble tea!

Recipe 2: Blue Pea Green Tea Bubble Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed blue pea green tea

  • 1 cup brewed blue pea flowers

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp simple syrup or honey

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1/2 cup cold water

  • Optional: lemon slices and fresh blue pea flowers for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Teas: Brew both the blue pea green tea and blue pea flowers separately. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, then cool to room temperature.

  2. Prepare the Lemon Syrup: In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice and simple syrup or honey until well combined.

  3. Layer the Tea: In a large shaker or pitcher, combine the brewed green tea and lemon syrup mixture. Stir well.

  4. Assemble the Drink: Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Pour the blue pea green tea mixture over the ice, filling each glass halfway. Slowly pour the blue pea flower tea over the green tea mixture to create a layered effect.
