You start your day with a bold cup of tea, but have you given your skin the caffeine fix it needs to start the day too? Don’t limit the use of Tea to just be consumed, when incorporated in your beauty regime, tea surprisingly has multiple uses. The high antioxidant levels in green tea lead to major beauty benefits. Tea can be very helpful in rejuvenating your skin and soothing skin issues like rashes, sunburns and breakouts. So the next time you brew yourself a nice pot of tea don't forget that it can be added to your beauty regime as well. Scroll through for a few DIY recipes that we know your skin would love to drink up.

Facial Mist:

No need to shell out for expensive water mists when you need a skin refresher. Just steep some green tea leaves in room temperature water for about 20 mins. Strain and pour it into a spray bottle. You can add some skin safe essential oil to the solution and your facial mist is complete. Spritz away whenever you need a little antioxidant-infused pick-me-up.

Try: Our Long Island Green Tea with its minty freshness is the perfect brew for this beauty mist.

Eye Depuffer:

For days when exhaustion is written all over your face, ease under-eye puffiness by placing black tea bags, which have been soaked in cold water, over your eye area for about 15 to 20 minutes; the chill will soothe eyes while the caffeine, which is often featured in depuffing beauty products, will ease swelling.

Try: Use some East Himalayan Black Tea teabags for this easy hack.

Exfoliating Body Scrub:

Brew a green tea bag in 1/2 a cup of water and allow it to cool. Then mix 1 part tea with 3 parts sugar (you can add honey, lemon, yogurt or other favorite ingredients if you please), and rub on your body in the shower as an exfoliator. This aromatic exfoliating scrub is perfect for buffing away dead skin cells and revealing fresh polished skin.

Try: Brew a pot of Rose Oolong Tea for this DIY recipe for extra beauty benefits.

Tea Bath Soak:

Some days just ask for a relaxing floral bath, this recipe for a quick and easy bath soak is just what you need. Take 1-2 cups of Epsom salt, dried herbs, dried flowers and a handful of used or fresh green tea leaves. Mix and pour it in a large muslin cloth. Drop it into a tub of hot water and your bathtub tea is ready.

Try: Our Lavender White Tea with its aromatic and therapeutic buds of real organic lavender is the perfect tea to sip while you soak in this blissful bath.

Facial Toner:

For a simple toner, mix some brewed green tea with a little lemon and spritz on or apply with a cotton ball. You can even add a few drops of Apple Cider Vinegar to this mix for a soothing acne fighting toner. You can store this concoction in the fridge for a week.

Try: Marigold Green Tea with its soothing and healing properties is the perfect brew for this simple yet effective Facial Toner.
