Our Ceramic Matcha bowls are handmade by the artisans at Curators of Clay. Each bowl is individually crafted, making each matcha bowl unique, with it's own set of variations. This is natural for any handcrafted product. Do not worry about the dips in the lip/rim, since it's perfectly normal. Additionally, the bowl is smooth on the interior which is good for whisking--and it has a smooth rim. Wide mouth of the bowls allows for easy whisking. We recommend you drink from the matcha bowl directly for an authentic matcha experience. Available in zen colours - Shiro White and Kuro Black.

3. How do I make Matcha tea using this bowl?
When you order the tea you will receive a brewing guide. Add 1 teaspoon of Matcha to 150 ml of water and whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk available on our website or a milk frother. Make sure the fine powder is evenly mixed.
4. Do you have a chasen to use with this?
Bamboo whisk, also known as chasen is the traditional and best way to brew matcha.
5. How do I use it for drinking?
Add matcha powder to the bowl, pour hot water and whisk vigorously. You can drink from the matcha bowl directly. It is perfectly safe and the traditional way to the drink matcha.
6. What quantity of Matcha and water I should use in this bowl?
1 teaspoon for upto 200 ml of water. You can add more matcha if you like a stronger cup.
7. Does it keep the tea hot for a longer time?
No, the bowl is made of ceramic and has an open mouth. After you brew the matcha it will start losing heat just like any other ceramic tea cup.
