Inspired by an Ayurvedic recipe for balancing your senses, Turmeric Green Tea is our favourite immunity booster. Rain or sunshine, sip this brew all year through.

Ingredients: Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, Black pepper, Cloves, Myrtle Pepper and Green Tea.

Health Benefits: Turmeric is widely used in India for its anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting properties.  When combined with Ginger, you get a brew that soothes and heals from within.

Available as: 100g loose leaf tea/ 15 tea bags

Taste notes: Earthy, warm and herbal. The warmth comes from the ginger and spices, while turmeric adds earthiness to your cup.

When to drink this tea? Sip on turmeric tea daily to boost your immunity. Best had right before or right after meals, but never on an empty stomach.

Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with peanut chikki and rice puffs. Turmeric Green Tea is best served hot.

Brewing instructions: 

Add 1 teaspoon or 1 tea bag per cup (150ml). Always pour hot water (80°C) on the tea leaves and not the other way around. Steep for 2-3 minutes. All our teas in tea bags or loose leaf can be rebrewed. Just add hot water and steep for longer than the first steep

Storage advice: Store in the foil pouch in the tea tin or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place.

If storing in the refrigerator/ freezer, pack in small completely airtight packets or jars. Before use, wait for the tea to reach room temperature to prevent any condensation. Each packet should be used within a week after opening.

    Turmeric present in this tea contains curcumin which is known for its anti-inflammatory activity. This tea can thus provide some relief to those suffering from painful conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis

    Yes, we do have this tea available as tea bags(15 tea bags per tin)

    Turmeric green tea is never to be had on an empty stomach. It is best had right before or right after meals.

    Turmeric is well known for its anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting properties. When combined with green tea, ginger, and other spices, it produces a brew that helps fight colds and flu and soothes and heals from within.  

  • 5. Can we add milk to turmeric tea?

    Milk contains a type of protein called Casein that does not interact well with the natural antioxidants in green tea. The casein found in milk forms complex strands of molecules with the natural flavanols found in tea. The binding of the two chemicals reduces the amount of antioxidants available for your body to process, making the catechins that give green tea its potential health benefits harder to break down. Hence we do not recommend consuming Tumeric Green Tea with Milk.
