Ingredients: Green Tea infused with refreshing Indian (desi) mint and earthy orange peels.
Health Benefits: Mint is a natural cure for several digestive ailments. Sip on this tea when you’re feeling bloated or when you’ve eaten food of uncertain quality. Orange and mint is a classic combination to improve your mood and concentration. Excellent tea to carry to your workplace or cure the day dreamer in you!
Caffeine content: Medium
Origin of tea: Darjeeling, India
Available as: 100g loose leaf / 15 tea bags / 50g loose leaf
Taste notes: Taste notes are fresh, perky and bright. Indian mint has its own distinct flavour which is more intense and less cooling than other varieties of mint. Dried orange peels give out an earthy aroma and taste. Unlike the usual citric acid used to add orange flavouring, our tea is 100% natural.
When to drink this tea? Hot or Iced, but always best without milk and sweeteners. This is our bestselling tea in summer months. Enjoy it iced on a dull, hot day. Recipe for cold brewed Iced tea here.
Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with upside down pineapple cake, crisp crackers, pineapple and cheese. Tastes great both hot or iced. Long Island Iced Tea (non-alcoholic) makes the perfect summer cooler or tea mocktail.
Brewing instructions:
Add 1 teaspoon or 1 tea bag per cup (150ml). Always pour hot water (80°C) on the tea leaves and not the other way around. Steep for 2-3 minutes. All our teas in tea bags or loose leaf can be rebrewed. Just add hot water and steep for longer than the first steep
Storage advice: Store in the foil pouch in the tea tin or transfer to an airtight container, kept in cool dark place.
If storing in the refrigerator/ freezer, pack in small completely airtight packets or jars. Before use, wait for the tea to reach room temperature to prevent any condensation. Each packet should be used within a week after opening.
